Maya Meena's Last Straw began as an environmental campaign against single-use plastics.
The initiative was founded by Maya Meena in 2018 in response to her outrage about marine life dying from plastic waste.
At the time, Maya was 3 years old. Maya encourages children to make a difference by taking small steps in their daily lives.
Eliminating the use of plastic straws is an easy first step that makes a big impact on the increasingly devastating environmental damage from plastic pollution.
Since, Maya has been inspired and moved to make a difference in different areas of need in our community. Maya urges friends to stand up and take action to spread more love in our world.
Maya Meena's 1st video message to call children to action. say "no straw please"
Ask questions about the state of the world we live In.
Try to better understand your stake in the game.
This is our earth, our world, our future, our survival.
Take action any way you can β
starting with the plastic straw. Next time youβre ordering at a restaurant say, βNo straws please!β Youβll feel the power. Just try it.
You have the power. Repeat your Actions then tell your friends, family, and neighbors about what you're doing and ask them to join us!
Take the pledge to #gostrawfreelikeme or be the kid that can do big stuff #lilkidsbigstuff ! Sign up to find out what we're up to next!
